Hendrick Motorsports Christmas For Kids Show, November 19 2011

Great show as usual.  Weather started out pretty darn nippy (no it was cold) but warmed up nicely when the sun made an appearance.  The show had a few less cars than last year but still some spectacular cars.  Matt and Jenna, new members that are in the process of moving to Charlotte from Anchorage AK won the Long Distance Award.  Kathy and Barney came up from Sumter SC and won.  And the big surprise and a darn nice one too, Mike and Annie along with their grandson, TJ joined in.  Overall, 4 PT's won trophies which were piston heads from Nascar engines rather than the clutch plates this year.  One won the long distance.  And as far as the other two that won, congrats to them as well even though it wasn't for a PT.

Needless to say with only 6 PT's there, we didn't get the Club Participation award.  However we could have come close.  The GM club that did win won with only 14 cars and we've had as many as 23.  Hughes Automotive had more cars but finally the show promoters realized that Hughes is not a club.
