FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE

No...It's not a James Bond 007 story.

Received an email in November from a guy named Andrei in Krasnodar Russia.  It's near the Turkish border.

Andrei has an American PT, one of the very few if not the only one in his area.  He had a wreck.  He was looking for the dimensions and measurements of the front end and chassis so it could be fixed.  He randomly picked a few email addresses from the internet to see if anyone knew these.  I got one of those emails.

Turns out what he needed was on the repair manual I have on CD for the PT.  I emailed the pages to him.

I followed up by sending him a copy of the CD so he could have it for any possible future repairs.  I also sent him a couple of the CPTC window stickers and a CPTC dash plaque.

Soon we'll have a PT cruising the streets of Russia with a Carolina PT Cruisers window sticker on it.

As soon as the car is fixed, he's going to send us a photo of it.

How cool is this?

So we now have a member as far away as Russia.  Andrei is the station manager in Krasnodar for Aeroflot Airlines, the national airline of Russia. His girlfriend was amazed that someone half way around the world, who didn't know him was willing to help him out.  PT people are like this I told him.
